I create most of my wedding images with the latest Canon and Nikon mirrorless digital cameras. At times, though, I reflect on the simple beauty of shooting a wedding with a manual focus camera. With Leica cameras, there is no autofocus on the camera, no face detect and only minimal controls. To use a Leica camera is to remember the initial joy of picking up a camera for the first time. It allows one to put aside all of the gadgetry of modern cameras and focus on the essence of photography - framing, lighting and capturing the magic moments of life. The images below were shot with the Leica M9 Monochrom.
